At first glance this design is practically an oversized Courthouse Step block. However, Anna Maria broke the Courthouse Step method here and there to grow the quilt from the center to the edges in a less than straightforward order. The result really shows off beautiful border fabrics in a variety of widths and orientations. The focus of this pattern is to teach her favorite method for fabric repeat matching for the pieced borders which will involve a little fussy cutting. The rest of the quilt top is a relaxing and simple joy to sew! Finished size measures 76" x 92".
