In her sophomore collection for Cotton + Steel, Canyon Springs, Ash Cascade was inspired by family trips to Crooked River. From the designer, "we love camping there in the spring when it’s still too cold and wet in the mountains. Steep dusty cliffs line both sides of the river but down by the banks are hardy wildflowers and skipping stones galore. We spend our time collecting feathers, rocks and flowers to dry. At night, we sit by the camp fire singing songs and getting sticky with marshmallows."
